Dig Under Rock's Sudio

Dig Under Rocks Studio

What kind of Art/Crafts do you do?
I create vintage and fashion inspired jewelry.  I also sew accessories, paint and draw.

Where do you do your art/crafts?
I used to work on my couch and coffee table and it killed my back. I'm happy to now work on my desk and sewing/work table.

How do you keep all your supplies organised?
I use a tall skinny cabinet from Ikea, a kitchen counter from Ikea with amazing big drawers and lots plastic totes and containers from Target.

How do you keep yourself motivated to keep your space tidy?
I like cleaning up my space and sitting down to a fresh start each time I work. Unless I am deep into a project then I will leave everything out. However, I don't trust my cats not to lay all over anything I leave or or kick it around so I don't leave things out very often.

Any tips for how to keep art spaces tidy or organised?
Organization will lead to tidy so I really believe in storage. I also like storage with open shelves or clear doors so you can see your supplies too, helps with inspiration.

Do you get stressed out when your space gets in a mess?
A little... but only when stuff mail piles up, like things that don't belong in my creative space

If you could have your dream space tomorrow what would it look like?
I just finished it! I'm so happy. The most important things were work surfaces, storage and light.

Is there any craft you would love to do but cant due to limitations of your art space?Screen printing. I'm hoping that with my new sewing/work table I can make this happen. I think I can use natural light from my back door area to burn the screens so I should be all set.

What is the next big thing on your wish list for your art space?
I think I just need electronics, a new printer, slr camera and a new laptop, all expensive so they will take some time.

Is there a website for people to see or buy or art/crafts?
