In my home studio.

We use bookcases, shelves, and a variety of organizers

How do you keep yourself motivated to keep your space tidy?
If things aren't clean and organized I always feel like I need to tidy up before I can actually get any work done... so that's very motivating! I'd hate to have to feel defeated and unmotivated to create every time I walked into my studio.

Any tips for how to keep art spaces tidy or organised?
Have a spot for everything. If something doesn't have a place, find it one! Otherwise it will end up sitting on your workspace, or get misplaced.



Do you get stressed out when your space gets in a mess?
Definitely! I hate know that I have to clean before I can create! With only so much energy to go around I'd hate to waste it on doing a big clean of the studio. That's why I keep things clean as I go so I can always walk in and get started without having to clean up first.



If you could have your dream space tomorrow what would it look like?
It would be close to what I have now but much bigger. It would include a mini kitchen for soap making and have a lot more table space.

Is there any craft you would love to do but cant due to limitations of your art space?
I make a lot of sculptures and plaster pieces in the summer. I have to do these outside due to the mess and fumes. If I had a huge, well ventilated space that I didn't have to worry about ruining the floors in I could do this type of art all year around.



What is the next big thing on your wish list for your art space?
It was shelves but my fiancé got them for me for Christmas. He has a few more to put up too so that's next on the list. The shelves that still need to be put up are corner shelves that our printers can sit on. This will free up a lot of table space.
